Priority to environmental protection
Régional actively participates in the air France environmental policy, together with numerous consultative committees on the environment for each of its platforms. These committees are made up of elected representatives, representatives of local associations, airlines and Government services.
In fact, Régional is committed to protecting the environment and limiting the effects its activity could generate in terms of noise pollution, gas emissions and fuel consumption.
Reduction in noise pollution:
On 9 March 2005, Régional received the "Noise Abatement Award" from Amsterdam Airport, an honour rewarding the airline with best performance in terms of noise emissions.
Limiting gas emissions and fuel consumption:
our recent fleet allows us to count on increasingly "economical" aircraft.
Limiting the impact on climate change:
energy efficiency, network rationalisation, to steer away from unnecessary flights, improving maintenance procedures, etc. All these procedures contribute to reducing the impact of our activity on the environment.
Improving air quality:
At airports: Régional limits nitrogen oxide and carbon emissions, by improving the take-off and landing cycles. For example, by paying attention to the way we take off, we can reduce low altitude gas emissions.
Around airports: using shuttles, clean vehicles, etc.
Waste recovery:
this concerns all ground maintenance sites and Headquarters.
All these actions show Régional's commitment to respecting the environment.
